France has transposed MiFID by legislation and FSA (FR) regulations

On 2007-05-21 FSA (FR) announced by a  press release their completed transposition of MiFID into national law and regulations by the FSA (FR), apart from minor changes in two specific banking regulations: one about safeguarding clients’ assets and the other on compliance and outsourcing; these new texts are expected soon).

FSA (FR) publishes consultation paper on new regulation according to MiFID

2007-01-18  AMF, the French FSA, has published today a document for consultation with the proposed changes in the chapter of the AMF General Regulation related to investment firms. The response deadline is 2007-03-01. The document in French comprises 474 pages and exhibits the present regulation, the MiFID provisions and the proposed amendments with comments.

MiFID transposition and application - State of Play in the Member States
